Privacy Policy

Padlangs ZA ("we") is the responsible party for any personal information you share with us via padlangsza.com, our booking forms and email. We process personal information in line with the South African Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone number.
• Booking details: number of people, trip date, notes you share.
• Order details: items, sizes, custom names, shipping notes.
• Payment metadata: order reference, amount, payment status. We do not store card numbers — payments are handled by PayFast.
• Technical: standard server logs, cookies needed to run the site.

• To fulfil missions and orders you book with us.
• To send receipts, packing lists, rules, balance reminders and trip updates.
• To handle refunds, support requests and safety contact.
• To comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.

We only share what is necessary, with:

• PayFast — to process payments.
• Resend — to send transactional email.
• Supabase / Cloudflare — to host our database and site.
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

Booking and order records are retained for at least 5 years to meet South African tax law. Marketing contact (if you opt in) is kept until you unsubscribe.

• Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or delete information that is inaccurate or no longer needed.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent (where consent is the basis).
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based database access and tokenised payments via PayFast. No system is perfectly secure — please tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
